Grief Calls
Join Northwest Narrative Medicine Collaborative for an in-person Community of Practice. In this creative gathering, we’ll explore the terrain of loss and renewal through guided writing prompts and shared discussion. Together we’ll listen for what grief reveals and together we’ll write toward connection, perspective, and possibility.

Facilitators
Beth Cavenaugh is a certified hospice and palliative care nurse who is dedicated to demystifying death and dying so patients, families, and caregivers can meet the end of life with more clarity, compassion, and ease. She obtained her Master’s in Narrative Medicine at Columbia University in 2025 and she and her colleague began a fellowship with Columbia after graduation. Some of their projects include workshops for Veterans experiencing moral injury, a 6-week workshop for NYU nurse leaders, and an upcoming retreat in Italy exploring food, wine, and narrative medicine (you can always find a thread).
